What would Memorial Day weekend be without small towns, cemetery decorating, and gathering with families to get to know each other and share stories about the past?
We spent the Saturday of this holiday weekend honoring Larry's ancestors. His mother's side of the family came from Fillmore, Utah. We attended a reunion that included lunch, several readings, a family photo history dvd playing in the background, touring the Fillmore museum that holds all kinds of history that includes Larry's family, a drive around town to see the old family homes and ending in the cemetery to put flowers on graves and hear the stories about the variety of characters and historic figures in Larry's line.

Larry and one of his sisters, Jamie, standing in front of the house that they grew up in located in the big town of Kanosh. Anybody heard of Kanosh? Larry's father's family came from that area. We will attend a reunion for that side in late July.
